Dit inclusief het configureren van een switch en een router waarbij er verbinding gemaakt gaat worden met een WAN. Ook de daarbij behorende security wordt geimplementeerd. De cursusdeelnemer wordt geacht deze configuratie onder toezicht te implementeren.

EnglishThis course focuses on providing the skills and knowledge necessary to install, operate, and troubleshoot a small branch office Enterprise network, including configuring a switch, a router,connecting to a WAN and implementing network security.
At the end of this course a student should be able to complete the configuration and implementation of a small branch office network under supervision.

Doel

NederlandsNa deze cursus bent u in staat om:

Te beschrijven hoe netwerken werken, de belangrijkste componenten daarin te identificeren en aan te geven hoe deze functioneren en het Open System Interconnection (OSI) referentie model te hanteren.
Te beschrijven hoe transmissie en de daaraan gerelateerde performance aspecten in een geswitchte Ethernet omgeving plaatsvindt.
Te beschrijven hoe een LAN uitgebreid kan worden met RF draadloze toegang (Wi-Fi).
Te beschrijven hoe data gerouteerd kan worden met behulp van routers en gebruik makend van TCP/IP.
Te beschrijven het gebruik van en de belangrijkste componenten in een Wide Area Network (WAN), het configureren van PPP, het gebruik maken van statische en dynamische routering, PAT en het RIP protocol.
Gebruik te maken van de specifieke commando′s om de direct gekoppelde apparatuur te ontdekken op het netwerk en wijzigingen te kunnen aanbrengen in de configuratie bestanden.

Using the host-to-host packet delivery process, describe issues that are related to increasing traffic on an Ethernet LAN and identify switched LAN technology solutions to Ethernet networking issues
Describe the reasons for extending the reach of a LAN, and the methods that can be used, with a focus on RF wireless access
Describe the reasons for connecting networks with routers, and how routed networks transmit data through using TCP/IP
Describe the function of WANs and the major devices of WANs, and configure PPP encapsulation, static and dynamic routing, and PAT and RIP routing
Use the CLI to discover neighbors on the network and manage router startup and configuration
